The principals and staff of MacNeill Edmundson Professional Corporation are proud to announce that James B. MacNeill was inducted as a Fellow of CPA Ontario on December 4, 2018.
The FCPA distinction formally recognizes those members who have provided exceptional service to the profession and whose achievements and contributions in their careers and in the community have brought honour to the profession. FCPAs are nominated by their peers and becoming a Fellow is the highest honour the profession bestows as it distinguishes both the individual and the profession.
There is no doubt that Jim deserves this award. At the age of 26, he founded a two-person accounting firm with an emphasis on providing all of the varied services that growing entrepreneurial businesses require in Southwester Ontario. Many of these businesses have succeeded with him over a 40-year working relationship. Throughout the years, Jim has devoted countless hours to his profession, his community, and as an educator. With an expertise in taxation, Jim attends and presents at numerous conferences and events. Previously, Jim lectured on personal and corporate taxation at Western University, and he has published papers on relevant taxation topics. He is frequently contacted as an expert resource by the media. Jim’s expertise in taxation and leadership has positively impacted the lives of many clients and staff.
An FCPA induction is a fitting acknowledgement for Jim with his list of notable accomplishments.
