Changing GST Tax Rate in your Accounting Software
 

Simply Accounting

 

Go to

  • Setup
  • System Settings
  • Sales Taxes
  • Tax Code Tab
  • Double click on code GP and change GST rate to 5%, then press okay
  • Double click on code G and change GST rate to 5%, then press okay

 

 

 

QuickBooks

 

Go to

  • List
  • Tax Code List
  • Double click G for GST only and change rate to 5% then okay
  • Double click S for Standard (GST and PST) and change GST rate to 5%., then okay.

 

 

Note:  New Invoices will be calculated using this rate table.  If changes are made to historical data, the new rate table will be used, so be careful when changing historical data.
